Impressionism and the Landscape

Nature Prints

For Beginners and above.
Learn how to set up your own nature printmaking studio with inexpensive supplies. Make lots of prints with non-toxic materials and the beautiful things you find in nature, from leaves to barks to seashells. These techniques work great on paper and fabrics for 2-D artists, fiberartists, book making, collage with paints, encaustic and more.

Learn the unique techniques for drawing and painting with oil pastels. If you have worked with soft pastels or oil paint, you will love this modern medium that is dust free and like paint in a stick. This is a great, inexpensive modern medium that is perfect for all levels of experience. Good for travel, small studies and large works, and works for all styles from realism to abstraction. Surrealism, Neutrals and Texture

Study the concepts behind Surrealism and create your own studies using these ideas. Learn how to mix neutral hues (browns, blacks & grays) using a Red/Yellow/Blue palette. You will practice techniques of painting texture with different types of brushes. Create a painted study using still life and your imagination. For Oils, Acrylics, pastels.
